Leathers and Suedes

  • Please get customer's complete name and daytime phone number.
  • Please pin tag all garments.
  • Carefully inspect suede garments for breaks, discoloration, scuffs, thin rough areas, cuts, and excessive perspiration. Any scars or skin blemishes originally masked by the leather tanner may be more evident after cleaning.
  • Look for unusual spots or stains.
  • Inspect for missing buttons, snaps and broken zippers.
  • Check leather garments for cracking or hard dry skins.
  • Check if the lining hangs below the garment or extends from the sleeves indicating shrinkage.
  • All matching pieces should be cleaned at the same time.
  • Look for fading or oxidation. Check an unexposed area such as under pocket
flaps and collars. Explain that oxidation and sun fade permanently damage the color. In refinishing we will attempt to restore the color as near the original shade as possible.

All garments will be repaired as part of our normal cleaning process. Minor repairs are done at no charge. However, some repairs require more than an allotted time. They will be charged on a time basis only, If your customers will not pay for repairs please specify "NO REPAIRS".

Ask customers if WaterResist is desired. The process is a deterrent to water spotting and highly recommended. Please take down full names and daytime phone numbers for all customers.

  • Look for tears, holes, worn area.
  • Check for dry or hard areas and soiled condition.
  • Count buttons, belts, hooks and eyes.
  • Inspect the lining for stains, tears, and worn area.
