Leather cleaning
is a specialized process that
is designed to preserve the look and feel of the leather garment.
Leather has many unique qualities that we attempt to preserve.
It has inherent characteristics such as its ability to 
breathe as well as many visible
properties such as vein, tic and scars, that we refer to as "beauty
marks" that often become prominent after cleaning.
The beauty of leather is that it can be worn in most weather
conditions and it provides for excellent protection against the
elements. Leather garments are extremely durable and if properly
treated and cared for will last for many years.
Our primary objective during cleaning is to remove stains and
soil, as well as to replenish vital oils and colors to the leather.
Most garments come out very well, but due to the different types
of materials, dyes and manufacturing processes in use, no guarantee
can be given. Nevertheless, everything will be done to restore
the garment to the best degree possible by using recommended
procedures for leather and suede garment cleaning.
The garment is cleaned in baths of detergents and natural tanning
oils uniquely created for the garment type (cow, pig, lamb, etc.)
in order to maintain the delicate balance of oil in the animal
hides.
We attempt to do everything possible to minimize color change
and shrinkage. Colors that are lost during normal wear, through
oxidation from exposure to light, and non-fast colors that are
released by the garment in the normal cleaning process are carefully
replaced by color matching experts. In some cases, the original
color is difficult to recreate, but every effort is made to insure
a good color match.
The garments are pressed using specially designed finishing equipment.
Also, repairs of rips, tears, loose buttons, open seams, are
made to produce a wearable garment.
Through the entire process, the garment is inspected to insure
the highest quality is achieved at every step of the process.
